Museum Newsletter

The Dunbar Carver Museum newsletter keeps readers informed about the museum’s programs, exhibits, research, and community activities. Each issue highlights stories from the rich history of African American education and community life in Haywood County and Brownsville, Tennessee.

Through the newsletter, the museum shares updates about events, new historical research, educational initiatives, and projects that preserve and interpret the legacy of the Brownsville Colored Normal School, Dunbar School, Haywood County Training School, and Carver High School. The newsletter also features articles on local civil rights history, notable individuals from the community, and the ongoing work of the museum to document and preserve this important heritage.

In addition, the newsletter will explore broader topics related to African American history, culture, and legacy. These articles will highlight stories, achievements, and historical developments that have shaped the African American experience locally and across the nation.

Below you will find links to each issue of the Dunbar Carver Museum Newsletter. We invite you to explore these editions to learn more about the museum’s work and the history and culture it seeks to preserve and share.
